Have you heard a DiamondBoxx lately? It's been almost 10 years since we came to market with our original Model L bluetooth boombox speaker. When we introduced this in 2014, a Google search of "bluetooth boombox" would return ZERO results! That is wild because today we have many competitors. As such we are continually improving our product offering. We are now on our 3rd generation of products. Compared to the original Model L, the new L3 has a more powerful amplifier, a more powerful battery, a stiffer wood enclosure, bigger woofers, a higher end bluetooth solution with wireless pairing of a 2nd DiamondBoxx, bass and treble controls, 2 Aux input jacks, larger bass port and stiffer aluminum panel. The L3...
All of the testing of the last prototype has been completed! We have reduced resonances of the aluminum heatsink and the enclosure to the point of being irrelevant. We have done tuning of the onboard analog signal processing for both the EQ and the distortion limiter. We have also re-tuned the resonant frequency of the enclosure by removing 1 bass port and adjusting port lengths. We have also eliminated the problem where the DiamondBoxx XL would walk across the floor by itself! The final result is usable in-room response below 40Hz, a maximum output of 120dB. Finished weight has increased slightly to 40 lbs (18.5kg) due to increased bracing of the aluminum panel and wood enclosure, and the steel pole...
Hey guys, the Model XL is getting closer. We should receive the revised front panels from the machine shop this week. We are trying to have them brushed and anodized as well so we can get some better product photos going. Possibly laser etched as well, time permitting. Then we can test and tune with the new stiffer panel. We didn't realize that six 140mm woofers could make so much sound pressure! Combined, they do have the cone area of two 10 inch woofers, but with 6 channels of amplification on them. I can tell you it did over 120dB on the audiocontrol sa3052 and the bass sounds very tight and quick, not sloppy and muddy. Thank you for being...
We are revising the front panel with improved aluminum bracing to reduce panel resonances and have removed one of the ports. We just finished the CAD and are waiting for samples from machine shop for testing. We are also finalizing the amplifier design and ordering production quantity of parts. Wow this amplifier has big power!
14 x 40 watts RMS! (560 for those bad at math) and 960 Watts Max (peak)
We will keep updating here, we are still planning on being able to ship next month. Right now its looking like around valentines day.
Stay Tuned!

DiamondBoxx Model XL White Paper November 23rd 2016 by Tony D’Amore There exists a problem in audio reproduction and sound amplification. It is like a pie with 3 pieces. The pieces are Sound Quality, Loudness, and Portability (size, weight, power). Some audio systems sound good, are very portable, but not loud. Others are portable and get loud but sound terrible. Yet others sound good, get loud, but are not portable at all (high end home audio). We believe we have engineered the perfectly balanced pie for you with our Model M and Model L, but sometimes you have to feed A LOT OF PEOPLE. (and you’re a little nuts) A DJ’s dream Introducing the DiamondBoxx Model XL, the world’s...
